DN40, DN50 & DN80 - EPDM Seal for Lid

On the larger DN40 to DN80 filters, the lid seal has a bigger diameter to seal and typically sits under greater system pressure, so any loss of elasticity shows up as a leak more readily than on smaller housings. How to replace it

1. Isolate the closed circuit system at the filter and relieve pressure.
2. Undo the lid clamp or retaining bolts and lift the lid clear.
3. Remove the old, perished seal from the lid or body.
4. Clean the sealing face and lightly grease the new seal with food-safe silicone grease.
5. Refit the lid with the new seal correctly seated and tighten evenly.
6. Repressurise the system and check carefully for leaks around the lid.
