Product Description
This is the genuine Pentair pressure gauge for PBH bag filter housings, letting you see the pressure drop across the filter bag at a glance rather than guessing when it needs changing. WrekinWater supplies this part on its own for customers whose original gauge has stopped reading, cracked, or fogged up internally. It threads into the same gauge port on the housing head as the original fitment.
| Compatible housings | Pentair PBH-410 and PBH-420 bag filter housings |
| Manufacturer part number | SH144369 |
| Function | Reads inlet pressure to indicate filter bag condition |
| Connection | Threads directly into the housing head gauge port |
| Brand | Pentair |
Signs you need this part
- The needle is stuck, doesn't move, or reads zero even under pressure.
- The gauge face is cracked, fogged with condensation, or hard to read.
- The gauge is leaking slightly from around its threaded connection.
- Readings are wildly inconsistent compared to known system pressure.
The gauge is what tells you when the filter bag inside the housing has loaded up with debris and needs changing, by showing the pressure drop as flow is forced through an increasingly blocked bag. Vibration, pressure spikes and simple age can crack the internal Bourdon tube or fog the lens, and once that happens you lose your visual warning that the bag is nearly spent. Without a working gauge you're relying on guesswork, which risks either changing bags too early or running a badly restricted housing for too long.
WrekinWater is a family run business based in Bettisfield, Shropshire, that has served more than 50,000 customers over 15 years and stocks genuine Pentair gauges rather than generic substitutes. Fitting the correct manufacturer gauge means it threads straight into your existing housing without adapters, with support from a UK team (Company No. 11000488) rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
How to fit it
- Isolate the water supply and relieve pressure in the housing via the drain port before starting.
- Unscrew the old gauge from the housing head, expecting a small amount of residual water.
- Wrap the new gauge's thread with PTFE tape.
- Screw the new gauge into the gauge port and hand-tighten plus a further partial turn.
- Restore the water supply and check the gauge connection for leaks under pressure.
