WrekinWater supplies this replacement housing body for the Prosep SE2 UV disinfection system, featuring 3/4" ports positioned on opposite sides for straight-through in-line plumbing. Supplied unlabelled, it's the main pressure-bearing shell that holds the quartz sleeve and UV lamp assembly. It's designed as a direct replacement body for a cracked, corroded or leaking SE2 housing.

Signs you need this part
- Visible cracking, stress marks or discolouration in the housing wall.

The housing body is the pressure vessel that holds the quartz sleeve and UV lamp under mains water pressure, so any crack or fatigue in the plastic can let water escape or fail suddenly. UV housings are made from tough but still ageing plastic, and years of pressure cycling, water hammer or sunlight exposure can leave the wall brittle. Left unreplaced, a compromised body risks a sudden leak or split, taking the whole UV system out of action until it's fixed.

How to fit it
- Turn off the water supply to the UV system and open a downstream tap to relieve pressure.
- Disconnect the inlet and outlet pipework from the existing SE2 body.
- Remove the lamp, quartz sleeve and seals from the old body and set them aside carefully.
- Fit the seals and quartz sleeve into the new body, then refit the lamp.
- Reconnect the pipework to the 3/4" ports and check all unions are tight.
- Restore the water supply and check for leaks before returning the system to service.
