The Spectrum PPP Premier Pleat Polypropylene Filter (4⅞") is a WRAS-approved, absolute-rated pleated cartridge designed for high-efficiency particulate removal in domestic, commercial, and industrial water systems.

Four pleated polypropylene media layers combine to deliver depth-like filtration performance alongside precise micron classification, giving a large surface area and consistently low pressure drop compared to standard spun depth cartridges. A reinforced outer cage protects the pleat pack, supporting strong flow rates and long-term reliability even in demanding applications.

  • Absolute-rated polypropylene media for precise particulate control
  • Four-layer pleated construction for high surface area and low pressure drop
  • WRAS approved and chemically inert — suitable for potable water use
  • Reinforced outer cage for structural strength and consistent flow
  • Compact 4⅞" (DOE) format, ideal for point-of-use and small housings

Available in 0.2, 0.5, 1, 5, and 30 micron ratings, as a single cartridge or box of 12.

An absolute rating means the cartridge reliably removes particles at or above the stated micron size, rather than only reducing them on average — giving more predictable, repeatable filtration performance than a typical depth cartridge.

Yes. The cartridge is WRAS approved and manufactured from inert polypropylene, making it suitable for potable water applications as well as commercial and industrial process filtration.

The pleated construction gives the PPP a larger surface area than an equivalent-sized spun cartridge, resulting in lower pressure drop, higher dirt-holding capacity, and a more consistent micron cut.
