Water-King WK4: Water Conditioner for Large Commercial Pipework (up to 108mm)
The Water-King WK4 is built for larger commercial applications with pipe sizes up to 108mm, and is frequently specified for high-rise office and residential developments, student accommodation blocks, and hotels — anywhere continuous treatment needs to reach downstream services irrespective of flow.
Like the rest of the range, the WK4 requires no plumbing work: it clips onto existing pipework and, because the signal transmits both upstream and downstream through the water, treats fittings on both sides of the installation point continuously.

Why it matters
Because the signal travels both upstream and downstream through the water rather than only forward with flow, one correctly sited WK4 can protect fittings across a much larger building than its physical footprint on the pipe would suggest.
Installing your WK4
- Site as close as possible to where water is heated, within the same plant room as the water heater(s) where feasible.
- If a pump sits upstream of the installation point, fit the WK4 downstream of it — pumps significantly reduce signal effectiveness.
- Allow 6cm of straight pipe per aerial pair.
- Connect the BMS output for power-failure detection if required.
- Site within 1 metre of a power supply and 45cm of the pipe; wrap the 4 aerials as directed.
