Water-King WK5: Water Conditioner for Major Commercial Pipework (up to 159mm)

The Water-King WK5 is the largest standard unit in the range, built for the same applications as the WK4 — large commercial and high-rise developments — but where pipe diameter runs up to 159mm. Six aerials, arranged as three pairs, deliver the signal strength this size of pipework needs. Larger custom units are available on request for sites beyond this.

As with every model, there's no plumbing involved in fitting a WK5. It clips onto the existing supply, carries an LCD display and BMS output as standard, and treats water continuously through the pipe irrespective of flow.

Why it matters

At this scale, correct positioning matters more than at any smaller size — the WK5's six aerials are arranged specifically to deliver adequate signal strength across large-diameter commercial pipework without needing multiple smaller units.

Installing your WK5

1. Site within the plant room, as close as possible to where water is heated.
2. Fit downstream of any pumps or cold water storage tanks in the system.
3. Allow 6cm of straight pipe per aerial pair — six aerials arranged as three pairs.
4. Connect the BMS output for power-failure detection.
5. Site within 1 metre of a power supply and 45cm of the pipe; contact the technical hotline for guidance on multi-unit installations if the site exceeds a single WK5's coverage.
