The IX Ice filtration system is built specifically for ice machines — flakers and cubers — where water clarity, taste and scale control all show up directly in the finished ice. A 5-stage process (prefiltration, silver activated carbon, sediment reduction, media-specific water treatment, and fine filtration) removes chlorine and reduces the compounds that cause cloudy, off-tasting or oddly-shaped ice, while the scale-inhibiting media protects the machine's evaporator and pump from limescale build-up that otherwise drives up energy use and shortens service life.
It's built on the same IX platform as the rest of the range: an infinitely reusable casing and IX Variable Head, with only the internal cartridge exchanged and regenerated when it reaches capacity. On IX Ice specifically, the head's bypass must be set to 0 to make sure no hard water is dialled back into the supply. It's compatible with all major flaker and cuber brands via 3/8" push-fit head connections, and pairs with an optional digital head that tracks exact litres treated so changes are based on real usage.
