The replacement cartridge for the IX Ice filter system, carrying the same 5-stage scale-inhibiting media (prefiltration, silver activated carbon, sediment reduction, media-specific treatment, fine filtration) as the original unit. It's a twist-lock swap into your existing IX Variable Head via the 3/8" push-fit connection — no re-plumbing required — and is regenerated through IX Water's UK takeback scheme rather than discarded once spent.

At bypass 0, the Medium cartridge is rated for 88,246 litres and the Large for 154,430 litres. Actual change frequency depends on your machine's water throughput — the digital head (if fitted) gives the most accurate read, otherwise we can help estimate a change interval from your machine's rated output.

Yes — lock the head, use the flush valve to relieve line pressure, then twist off the old cartridge and twist on the new one before flushing and returning to service. Connections are 3/8" push-fit.

Return it via IX Water's prepaid returns bag and QR code process — the resin is regenerated and the cartridge is refilled for reuse rather than scrapped.
